This artist made amazing pencil sketches, You will need to think twice for real photo vs pencil sketch

We at 9Mood have an interview with Alok Skaria for his awesome and mind blowing artistic skills. These stunning pencil sketches are so realistic, you’ll need to take a second look. Discover the artist’s amazing talent!

We asked couple of question as follows, “How was he inspired to make pencil sketches / drawings, How did he started his career with this art?, and how will he improve his skill to next level?”

He replied, “I’m a self taught artist who mainly concentrates on pencil sketches. Creating realistic portraits has always been a goal to achieve or a dream to realise. I have been drawing since my childhood itself, and I always keeps an eye on professional artists who are really good at making realistic portraits. So it always keeps me motivated to improve my skills.  I mean, I always tries to make my new art work better than the previous one. To be frank, I didn’t rushed myself in improving my skills.  I learned it by watching youtube tutorials about different types art materials and its way of using have always been a helping hand in my art works. I gradually updated my art materials and I’m still updating it. Now i find it really nice to use only mechanical pencils rather that ordinary pencils.

My pencil sketches, in these days are mainly inspired from famous photographs which strikes my mind. Usually, I try to get on contact with the photographers, but i never gets any response from them. After finishing my work I would send my work to them and as usaul i never get any response.

My dream is to conduct an exhibition along with my Mom, she’s also an artist; specialized in painting. Also, my inspiration is my Dad as well. He has always supported me. He likes my pencil sketches. Sadly he’s no more with us.  So i find it so proud when my Dads name (Skaria) along with my name (Alok) gets popular on a small scale “
