Don’t Judge People By Who They Are, Before You Understand How They Are!
TL;DR – Learn why it’s important to understand someone’s true nature before making judgments about them.
A deer found a tiny tiger cub, crying alone beside the bush.
Fearing an adult tiger in the vicinity, it made a loud call to warn the animals and ran away.
A mother deer with her little fawn (baby) had motherhood bursting out of her every cell and couldn’t leave the tiger cub alone.
She realised that the cub was lost or his mother died.
After waiting for some time, she went near the cub and touched his tiny cheeks with hers.
The unconsolable cub felt a little comfort and stopped crying.
She fed him with her milk, and the hungry cub felt even better.
Finally, she took the cub along.
Surprisingly the cub adjusted quite well with them. He would do what the fawn would do; they would feed on mother deer’s milk and eat plants and grass.
Some months passed, the tiger cub grew up a little, although due to lack of natural diet, he was quite lean.
The other deers in the herd kept warning the mother deeper about the grown-up tiger cub. They said that any day the tiger would adopt his natural traits and kill one of them, but the mother was a mother, she denied.
Soon the mother and her kids were left alone as out of fear; the heard left them. Still, the three were happy in each other’s company.
One day the tiger cub, hunted an old rabbit and after that, he couldn’t control his urge to feast on flesh.
Seeing that, the mother cub and her grown-up fawn were unhappy, but they didn’t stop the tiger out of affection.
The tiger got a little aggressive and sometimes would end up hurting both of them while playing.
The mother deer and her son now lived in a little fear; however, love kept them attached with the tiger.
One day the tiger and his sibling deer went playing. They had a fight, and the tiger started aggressively chasing the deer.
The mother deer was fearful. However, they both ran away in the forests.
Suddenly there was a scream; it was of her kid, the deer. The mother felt anxious and shocked.
She ran towards the bushes; after a while, she saw her son, the tiger with blood and flesh in his mouth and tears in his eyes.
‘You killed him didn’t you, it isn’t your fault, I was blinded by your love, I couldn’t realise that a tiger will always be a tiger, I left everyone for you.’ She kicked him on his face and ran ahead to find the body of her son.
A few metres ahead, she saw her son’s body.
As she went near, her son was alive, however in a state of shock.
He slowly got up and said-
‘Mother, a tiger will always be a tiger, you know a leopard attacked me from the top of a tree, but brother fought with him and killed him, I don’t know brother was so powerful.’
She silently turned in regret to apologise to her other son, but he was already standing there.
‘Mother, never call me a tiger again, I am your baby, a deer, and will always be.’
The mother and her kids laughed while the other animals stared at them in fear.
Moral of the story-
If our generation and natural qualities make us what we are, our upbringing also contributes equally.
Don’t judge people by who they are, before you understand how they are.
