If you were born in India and especially in a Middle-class family, it will be a really great experience to born into that family. Most of the Indian people love to buy something if it is available for free or at a low cost. If they don’t want to buy anything, they are good with “LIFE HACKS” AKA “JUGAAD”. Many things that middle-class folks do that are pretty unique and frankly speaking defy all logic to an outsider. Jugaad is the name of the game and frugality runs in our blood.

There are too many jugaads/life hacks available in India. Let me list down a few...
- People will buy extra 1 or 2 liters of petrol if it will an increase in price.
- If vegetables are available at a low cost they will buy. The onions were so expensive last year!
- Reusing bottles of Shampoo, Soda, Bislery bottle, water sprinkles, etc.
- They will look for Buy 1 Get 1 offer while shopping from supermart.
- They will use elder brother/sisters' textbooks, bags and bicycles.
- Asking SUKHA PURI after PANI PURI is the BIRTHRIGHT.
- They prepare a walk instead of hiring a taxi or rickshaw.
- They will use a single side headphone lead until it stops working, then they will buy a new one!
- No separate bedrooms for kids.
- Repairing things with fevikwik instead of buying new things.
- They will use pickle - made of Tomatoes/ Mangos/chickpeas
- They will wear new clothes on the new year, or when traveling, or going to a movie.
- Buying clothes on special days like birthdays or some special occasions.
- Paying cheque or rent after a week of given deadlines.
- They will think thousands of times before buying electronic items like phones or laptops or cameras.
