Pomodoro is the Italian word for tomato🍅. There is nothing to do with tomatoes, but the major secret to effective “Time Management” is thinking about tomatoes rather than starring at a wall clock🕘. It may sound silly at first, but I heard and also saw thousands of people who can improve their life-changing power by using the Pomodoro technique. Basically, it’s the Time Management method or we can say the Time Management framework.

This well-known time management method will ask you to alternate Pomodoros, It allows you to focused on your work sessions including frequent short breaks of at least 5 minutes in between. All of them will help you to be sustained concentration on a particular task, focused on your goals, and stave off mental chores.

What is Pomodoro Technique?

In simple words, It is as simple as it is effective — you use a timer to break your work into time blocks (generally 25 minutes), separated by a 5-minute break. After every 4 pomodoros, you can take a longer break, again repeat the steps.

The Pomodoro Technique was developed in the late 1980s by then university student Francesco Cirillo. Cirillo was struggling to focus on his studies and complete assignments. Feeling overwhelmed, he asked himself to commit to just 10 minutes of focused study time. Encouraged by the challenge, he found a tomato (Pomodoro in Italian) shaped kitchen timer, and the Pomodoro technique was born.

TL;DR — A Simple time management method to balance focus with deliberate breaks.
